About Neuromotion Dance Movement Psychotherapy

Dance Movement Psychotherapy for Brain Injury

At Neuromotion Dance Movement Psychotherapy, we specialise in working with individuals who have been affected by brain injuries. Brain injury is a life-changing event, not just for the person injured but also for their family and friends. Did you know that in the UK, someone acquires a brain injury every 90 seconds?

An acquired brain injury (ABI) can result from traumatic events like road traffic incidents or sports injuries (traumatic brain injury, TBI), illnesses like strokes or hypoxia (restricted oxygen to the brain), or even occur in the womb or at birth. No matter the cause, every journey is unique, and our work respects the individuality of each experience.

Other Specialisms

You do not need to be able to dance. All our bodies move in some way. We all express ourselves with our bodies, even if we don't realise it. Much of the movement you will experience is gentle and inclusive and will enhance any other treatment you receive, such as physio or occupational therapy.

Anchor Point project

I created a video with Anchor Point for the R.I.P.P.L.E.S after brain injury that reflects some of the narratives I have encountered through my work.
